Sunday, July 28 - The Sound of Silence
Erin Padgett
We live in a world filled with sound. From the music that we stream to the videos that we watch, even a simple trip to the mall or a ride on an elevator invokes sounds all around us. Today we’re going to reflect on the challenges of experiencing moments of silence and times of stillness in the midst of such a fast-paced, sound-filled society. My prayer for you this morning is for us to rediscover and experience the beauty of silence, and simply being in God’s presence, and how that can both re-focus us in times of stress, and re-energize us in our faith journey.
