Sunday, October 3 - One in Heart...and Action

Today is World Communion Sunday. It is a day to consciously consider the fact that as the sun rises in each time zone around the world, churches will gather to share in one meal together…as one. It is a day where we set aside our differences in understanding and come to the table confessing how those differences divide us. Instead, today we focus on what makes us one in heart and action.

Sunday, September 26 - Death

Benjamin Franklin once said "…in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes", so today we'll be discussing one of these two inevitabilities (by the way, I'm not a CPA). Death is something that eventually comes to us all, and it naturally brings with it deep feelings of fear and anxiety. Today we're going to wrestle with the topic of death, what scripture says about it, and the challenge for us in facing each day not filled with fear, but instead with courage and with hope.

Sunday, September 19 - How Does It All End Up?

Pandemics, natural disasters, financial crises, national and international conflicts, and so much more. In a world with threats like this, why WOULDN'T we be afraid? The good news is that, with Christ, we don't ignore the world's problems. We simply believe that, no matter what, they are not the end of the story. This leads us to a force more powerful than fear- hope.

Sunday, Sept 12 - What If I Fail?

I love to fail…said no one. Failure hurts, and because failure hurts, sometimes we decide not to try. When we decide not to try, dreams fade, innovation stops, life ends. When is fear of failure helpful and when does it cross the line to hurtful? We can overcome our fear of failure!
