Sunday, February 6 - Trust the God Process

Erin Padgett

We wrap up our Habits series by taking a look at the reality that good things take time. Whether it is growing in a spiritual practice, forming a new habit, or reaching a goal, all of these things come through process. Growth doesn't happen overnight. This morning, we will talk about the need to- not rush or skip over- but embrace the process of transformation.

Sunday, January 30 - Breaking Bad Habits

Erin Padgett

We are creatures of habit (even our beloved pets). Every morning I used to battle our two dogs in getting them in their cages before leaving for work in the morning. I had gotten in the habit of just dealing with the messy situation. At least until my wife, Kim, took the time to investigate why the dogs reacted the way they did and came up with changes that actually turned the tables on our morning wartime routine. Today we'll talk about the book of James, dealing with trials and temptations in our life, the Habit Loop, and what we can do to make changes for the good in our daily walk with Christ.

Sunday, January 23 - Balanced

Erin Padgett

On the way to accomplishing our goals, we can sometimes harm our relationship with others. We can become too goal-oriented, too driven, too focused…too consumed. We may not even notice the harm we are doing. We may not notice the harm we are doing to ourselves. What does a balanced life look like?

Sunday, January 16 - Ask.

Erin Padgett

I’ve learned over time to surround myself with people better than me. Smarter, more skilled, more astute, more specialized. I want to be the worst musician in my band, the dumbest student in my class, the lesser of the ping-pong players. In that way I am drawn upward by the company I keep. Challenged. Bettered. I have learned to ask. It took a long time. I thought being best was a good way to be, but God has humbled that over the years. Let’s learn to ask, seek, and knock. If friends can lift you up, imagine what the Spirit of the Living God can do.
