Easter Sunday - April 12

Erin Padgett

On this most important day, I will go through the scriptures showing the reality and assurance of the Resurrection. If there was no resurrection, Christianity is a good group of people doing good things but based on falsehood and deception. If there is a resurrection it is the biggest news of human history and deserves the term “Gospel”, meaning simply Good News. Bring friends. This will be Billy Graham level.

Palm Sunday, April 5 - The Savior We Expect

Erin Padgett

It's Palm Sunday and Jesus enters the City of Jerusalem on a majestic stallion wearing the armor of a warrior and the colors of a king! Rows of soldiers enter ahead and behind him with banners in hand and trumpets announcing his arrival. This is the Savior that was expected...it isn't the one they, or we, got. Welcome to Holy Week...the week of the unexpected.

Sunday, March 22 - Healing Scars

Erin Padgett

The Hymn “How Firm a Foundation” has one of my favorite lines, “For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless, and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.” The “Stigmata.” The signs of Christ’s suffering. They have become holy just as our own scars can be “sanctified to us,” as the song says. Let’s let healing be our new story. Our Gospel.
