This year’s cantata, Festival of Christmas, musically traces the events of Christ's birth with original music by Mary McDonald. McDonald weaves popular favorites like Go, Tell It on the Mountain, and O Come, O Come, Emmanuel into rich, new musical phrases that resonate with everyone who hears the work. The Musical Chairs began in 2012 when a group of string players from the Pinellas Park Civic Orchestra decided to gather to play String Quartet and String Orchestra pieces. They have played for a variety of occasions and events around the Tampa Bay area. The Anona concert will include a number of selections by 4 violinists, 2 violists, and 2 cellists (with one violinist on the Celtic Harp). We hope you enjoy the splendid music comprised of classical, pop, folk, and modern pieces.
