It has been seven months since we began to learn about a dangerous emerging respiratory disease, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Following CDC-recommended guidelines and state/local requirements, Anona United Methodist Church made the difficult decision to close our campus. Anona cares deeply about you, our congregation, and our community, and we knew we needed to follow proper protocols to ensure that everyone was kept safe and healthy.
We have all learned a lot since then. As a church family, we pivoted quickly and began learning new ways of ministry and worship. Zoom became a part of our vocabulary! Our staff immediately put all of their efforts into online worship and classes. We know that many of you continue to enjoy online worship from the comfort of your home (and pajamas!).
Now, with the assistance and guidance of the Anona Medical Team and by continuing to meet or exceed state and local, as well as, CDC-recommended guidelines, Anona is ready to welcome you back to campus for worship! We will be taking this first stage of returning to worship measuredly and in steps. We detail our plan to return to on-campus worship below. And for all of our Zoom and Online Church warriors, don’t worry! We will continue all of those services as-is. We recognize just how important staying connected to one another is and will do everything we can to keep our Anona family thriving!
